"⭐⭐⭐⭐½ These words never failed to make me tear up! Every time I pick up this book my eyes start to well up, it hits close to home and heart. I am glad that Ernesto Cisneros is showing the vulnerability and struggles and the back-breaking, hard working side of my people. I am even prouder and more grateful to be Mexican American. Somos Semillas! And even if this book is a middle school level, in no way should this stop you from reading it~ it's no secret that this story is written beautifully."
