"*SPOILER WARNING* I have just finished this book so I’m still trying to process all I have read. I also finished this book in one sitting. This book had so many turns and twist but it didn’t feel tiring! I had a little of the same issue with this book as the first. The author does repeat some phrases sometimes with little to no difference in wording. This book did contain most (if not all) of the warnings of the first book. There also s*x in later parts of the book. (Chapter 19, and Chapter 19 1/2.) there may be more. I felt that Laurent’s character development in this book is amazing! That in no way however means we can just look past what he did in book one. I again would recommend reading this series as long as you know what you are getting into. "
"NO EFFING WAY. THAT ENDING DID NOT JUST HAPPEN. I loved the political intrigue in Prince’s Gambit, I loved the fight scenes, I loved seeing into Laurent’s mind, I loved the tension and scenes between Laurent and Damen, I loved the whole freaking book!"

"the first book was passably well qualified, but this one outshines it in just about every way. the politics take off impressively in prince's gambit and the relationship between the two main characters approaches its full potential. it is, of course, set in the same gratuitously sexually obsessed world as the first book, but that fades into the background in the sequel in a way that enhances the plot much more than it shocks or horrifies like it did in the original."
