Reign of Fire

The great devastation--according to the priest lore of the Sawls, the war between Valla and Lagri--the Goddesses of planet Fiix--was escalating to unheard of heights. First had come flood, but now was the time of fire--the time of legendary Devastation from which only the Goddess-picked few could hope to emerge alive. Yet, as fire rained from the skies, the Terran mining and scientific expedition to Fiix was fighting a far different battle--a battle brought on by the clash of science, humanity, and greed. And among Sawls and humans alike, only one man held the key to the deadly puzzle and unguessed-at treasures of Fiix. But would death--by human-aimed laser or Goddess fury--claim him before he discovered the truth that could put an end to all wars?
