Topic: This Is the Tom Green Documentary
I've turned off quite a few modern documentaries lately due to poor format. However I was pleasantly surprised by The Tom Green Documentary. A perfect balance of real footage laced with minimal interviews and some voice over.

Audrey Sorry I'm not going to sit and watch a person laugh because they are recounting some funny memory. This isn't TikTok!

MeYou0 Which ones were the bad ones you turned off? (So I know what to avoid.) I tried watching a few lately that were not very well put together too.

Audrey I didn't make it far into the Albert Brooks documentary because I hate watching celebrities say nothing and think they are smug and important. More Brooks less talking heads would have been appreciated. I also turned off the Yacht Rock documentary which all felt very "inside baseball" and I made it to the part where they all inexplicably start bashing Toto's Africa while simultaneously admitting it's the most popular yacht rock song. I'm sorry is the whole world wrong? Too sanctimonious for me.

MeYou0 Lol awesome, I'll avoid those ones then. I agree that not all documentaries are created equal. I usually like the ones that get down to the gritty truth behind the scenes, the ones that show us the more human side of celebrities because they are definitely flawed like the rest of us.

Jojo I love Tom Green he's the reason we have people like Eric Andre and Billy Eichner along with a bunch more people. I might give this a look.
