"4.5⭐️ Omigod this perfect little film far exceeded any of my expectations! Like the rare occurrence of stumbling across a movie that you really truly get. But somehow MORE than that..it really truly gets YOU? Especially a little jarring since this film is glaringly Gen Z and I am far FAR from that demo. But honestly it will resonate to anyone who lives and dies through their music, no matter age or genre. It had me bursting with emotion and reliving my youth with a brand new soundtrack. Somehow a story about grief manages to capture that effervescence within its tragic melancholy. There’s depth and substance without oppressive weight. It’s sparkles and ebullience smoothing out sadness and despair. Plus a unique, sublimely executed premise and appealing cast make it all so fresh. This one was everything I didn’t know I needed and for all the music lovers who more than merely listen to music but viscerally, bodily FEEL it. "
"You can also watch this movie on Hulu although This movie isn’t that great"

"This movie caught me like a whirlwind and was definitively bittersweet. Harriet can travel back in time through song to be with her boyfriend that passed away and every time she does so she tries to find ways to not only save him, but herself. Her life is in ruin as she is sensitive to sound and grieving the life she once had access to. She meets someone new and that only further complicates things while she tries to explain her condition to him so he can get to know her more intimately. Along the way, we also learn more about her condition and how it functions in different situations and parts of her life, which gives us a greater grip on and insight into what living in Harriet’s troubled psyche is like.
She could break down at any second due to a sensory trigger so she has to live constantly in fear of what comes next. What does she have to do in order to come to terms with her grief? There is no easy way forward as she grapples with memory, identity, and consciousness that each influence how she relates to the world and the people in it. Memory especially is so powerful and affects her deeply because it brings her right back to her past, however crisis-inducing and soul-consuming. This movie just goes to show that pain has to be confronted head-on in order to be processed at all. I loved every minute of this as it made me feel deeply right along with Harriet, who goes through a lot of self-growth, and may or may not just find her reason and sense of hope by the end! "
