"While very unrealistic and a bit silly, still a fun, light movie to enjoy if you need something mindless. Archie loves his best friend Amelia, but hasn’t been able to tell her in so many words. Every time the big moment comes he clams up. Enter in Billy Walsh: an American heartthrob who catches Amelia’s eye, stealing her away, which causes Archie to become wildly jealous as he only has eyes for her. Initially, he does everything he can think of to sabotage Amelia, until he comes full-circle and decides to value her happiness over his selfish desires. Could it be too late or is there still a fighting chance that Archie can salvage his relationship with Amelia? After all, Billy is more of an imagined idea, while Archie knows Amelia like the back of his hand so their compatibility might just win out in the end. Cute and corny, this just goes to show that the people that know you best are worth keeping around and living for. The most perfect, beautiful fairytale is sometimes someone or something that has been right in front of you the whole time. "
"This isn’t a romcom, this is a horror movie lmao. The main girl deserves financial compensation for what this guy put her through 😭😭 also, I’m begging movie studios to realize that gross humor isn’t romantic. It wasn’t romantic when that influencer girl and her love interest threw horse ship at each other in He’s All That, and it’s not romantic when this girl and this dude laugh about her “fear farts.” I get that you’re trying to appeal to a younger audience, but pls stop I’m begging 😭😭😭"
"This felt like a Gen z student directed this cuz it was not good. The acting was fine except Amelia GRATED me she kept making little noises of confirmation like we can see your emotions on your face you don't have to like make noises of approval and dissapointment. It felt overly dramatic and honestly really bad. "
"This was such a fun watch!!! It was for sure silly and unrealistic at times, but the overall spirit of the movie was whimsical!!! The soundtrack was upbeat and fun!!! This movie will not be for everyone, but for those who enjoy the "friends to lovers," theme will totally find this movie entertaining. It centers on a pair of life-long friends who are attending their last year of high school. "
