"I really enjoyed this documentary, and I also like the fact that she was very candid about her mental health struggles and everything that she was going through"

"I’m not the target audience for this film but I enjoy watching documentaries to see different perspectives in life. I’m not super familiar with Selena Gomez life or career, but this film was very well done. I found myself feeling very emotional; there is much about mental health, finding yourself and your place in the world—all of which is very relatable. I thought it was good that Selena didn’t only show herself at her best moments…this definitely humanized a celebrity in a culture that deifies celebrities. Good film. "

"This was a tear-jerker for me. I grew up watching Selena on Disney channel and listening to her music as I grew up. I was never a fan girl, but watching this documentary really changed my outlook. I am so proud of the young woman she’s become (I never really followed her outside of her music to know her outside of the industry). She’s really had some big obstacles thrown her way, and she’s really been handling them well. I hope that with her support system she has in place and the growing awareness of her health concerns, that fans and people in the industry will give her the time and respect she needs to continue to grow. Overall as a film, it was so interesting to see a “day in the life” over the course of almost 6 years. It was fun to see how’s she’s grown."
"where do i start. my hometown is stratford (i grew up with Justin Bieber and his family) so meeting Selena was life changing (to put in simple terms) this documentary is PURE! Selena is a gorgeous soul; on the inside and the outside. This documentary was unbelievably true! true to who she is, her beliefs, her dreams and who she all around is. she is on her own journey and i think always will be. —learning and growing. what makes Selena different from every other singer/celebrity.. she is her OWN person! NOT who the media or cameras expect of her. and when they do expect such horrible things she walks away no matter the circumstances! this documentary proves Selena goes to extreme lengths in everything she does! Giving up or giving in isn’t an option for her and that’s huge! I love how she said.. “i’m a work in progress”. —we all are! 💪🏼 this is one of the best documentaries i’ve ever seen. 🥺🙏🏼 💕"
