"Not bad. Plot left a lot to be desired for me anyways but was definitely visually striking with eerie imagery that I can appreciate as it helped set the tone of the film . Personally I’d say a 6.5/10 watch . "

"i watched this movie when it first came out. i didn't really care for it back then - even though i thought it was an interesting story and i absolutely love witchy horror. unfortunately, i wasn't really into slow burns at that time. but the movie always stayed on my mind as being better than i thought it was. i ended up rewatched it a few years back, and once again i thought the same thing - maybe a little better than i remember but still not my thing. once again my mind went back to it and i once again wanted to see if my mood about it has shifted now that i really do like slow burns more these days, and OMG! i'm liking it a LOT more. it's Rob Zombie's best movie in my opinion. he should make more movies like this. The dialogue and the acting is much better than his previous movies as well. still not the greatest, but a vast improvement - from what i remember his other movies had a lot more profanity that i didn't much care for and it always felt awkward - this one sounded more like how people would talk. i'm glad i gave it a 3rd try."
