"A drama thriller based off a mining event in 2020, though with a race against time as a mining supervisor finds the town above the mine must be evacuated before civilians are killed; while also trying to get her kids to safety as she has her boyfriend and soon to be ex husband around!"
"Can't bring myself to give this 4 stars just so my review is seen. I really like Tuva Novotny, but the movie was so unoriginal. I knew everyone they would kill off. It was just your basic natural disaster movie, even though it seemed to be man-made. Very much nothing special but I have to admit, they got me good in one long scene, because I'm extremely claustrophobic. When they have to crawl through a long and narrow opening left in between the fallen rocks that barricaded the only exit in a cave, I was pretty triggered. I felt the absolute panic and terror that one character felt so much that I was holding my breath and having a panic attack. Anyway, I quite enjoy disaster movies and this one wasn't bad. It just wasn't very good either. A solid three stars just for entertaining me for a bit."
"This had a pretty original disaster movie. They were in the process of moving the town knowing the damage the tunnels had done. So when things go bad suddenly, it's not a complete surprise. They did a solid job weaving in the family drama stuff while dealing with the town sinking. The effects were grounded and not over the top, which fit the vibe. However, outside of the setup, everything else is standard stuff and not all that interesting. It felt a little too long. Not horrible but there are much better disaster flicks out there. Please check out my podcast Mostly Low Budget Reviews with Clarence for a full break down. Link is in the bio. Thank you!"
