1950. William Lee, an American expat in Mexico City, spends his days almost entirely alone, except for a few contacts with other members of the small American community. "Two basic human needs, connection and desire, can become our greatest nightmares. Both explored beautifully and abstractly in Queer. This wasn’t at all what I expected, but I’m glad for it. If you have the experience, understanding, or empathy in regards to queer loneliness or longing this may be a worthy movie for your watchlist."
