Lovely, Dark, and Deep

"Rated this 2.5 stars, but rounding up because there are elements of this film that appealed to me. But, second last half of the film, and how it wrapped up, was very unsatisfying. I could only recommend this film if the options were limited."

"This was an odd one. I’ll admit that it’s well done on all accounts but it was just too slow for me with too many repetitive nightmare like sequences that weren’t as effective as they should be. I’m usually someone who likes a good slow burn but this just was boring the vast majority of the time which is really the only thing that makes me want to turn off a movie. Georgia Campbell is awesome as always. She’s quickly becoming a star in this genre and she really carries this movie. Interesting premise for sure but it’s just too repetitive and the “scares” have been done elsewhere and done better. "
