"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very thorough doc on the life and career of a true 20th century icon. She brought the idea of a single successful career woman into everyone’s living rooms at a time when women were only seen as, and allowed to be, housewives and mothers. And she did it in such a smooth, palatable way that it went under the radar how groundbreaking it truly was. It was just accepted. I enjoyed learning more about MTM and how different she actually was to her TV persona. Deep, introspective, complex, and not always likable. Which made me like her even more. "

"Nostalgic. Covers a lot, from little on, her parents, etc. Boy, was that David Susskind ever a jerk though. Also, later on, I thought Gloria Steinem brought up a good point. Found it all quite interesting."

And what a magnificent woman and a beautiful career and such a role model… it is truly amazing and so inspiring the way women such as Mary Tyler Moore & Lucille Ball, who also comes to mind had to fight so hard for the bare minimum… such a wonderful documentary about the life of this very talented woman and also very inspiring for all women to understand what to was “rising to fame” in such a difficult era… she is so lovely and real and down to earth and watching her in her older years speak about such amazing times in her life - and, all of ours by proxy! I can’t say enough lovely things about Mary Tyler Moore & this doc. Well done! ❤️👍🏼"
