"This feel good movie produced by Dennis Quaid starring Jay Hernandez, Cheech Marin, and Dennis Quaid is based on a true story. This movie tells the story of a group of teenage Latinos who form a golf club at San Felipe High School in Texas in 1957 called the Mustangs. The story chronicles their difficulties navigating the racist attitudes and culture that prevailed during that time. Jay Hernandez was perfectly cast as their coach and friend. Cheech Marin plays an older and wiser golf course employee who became the confidant to Jay 's character, I appreciated learning about a part of History that is not always told. There are a few historical tidbits right before the credits roll that make you respect those young men even more and what each had to endure."
"Loved everything about this movie. Brilliant writing, direction, acting, costumes, production values. And so much heart ❤️✨ It’s an inspiring true story about overcoming odds and triumphing. Loved it! Eager to see it again. "
