"I haven't seen the original, but this take is pretty gory, which usually isn't my favorite kind of horror. Felt like an episode of American Horror Story and The Purge mixed together. The ending gets a little blurred, nonetheless the protagonist held her own and kept my interest to the end. "
"this had potential since its a remake by same director, i was grooving w/ it till about 45 mins in & it went inexplicably to the far left. I was enjoying the suspense till then. A cult looking like they were from the 70s with hair parted down the middle & all but really from the 90s, lol. The rookie cop on her 1st night shirt alone in a big old police station(actually filmed in 1 in Loiusville KY (my father from there, so i reminisced a little). Anyway, i started to loose interest when the cult figures kept chanting about some low god dude. The rookie started hallucinating & i couldn’t keep up anymore honestly. I give it a 5/10 for effort "

"This is confusing. A trailer just came out for this movie opening in March, and as I watched it, it reminded me of a movie I often recommend on here as a really good horror movie called Last Shift. Sure enough it's a remake of that movie done by the exact same writers and director. Since Last Shift to me was a great horror movie, I thought that this looks almost exactly the same with different actors. Last Shift is only 9 years old and I don't think I've ever seen anything like this done before, am I wrong? Has anyone ever seen a movie get basically reshot with different actors but same writers and director, and in less than 10 years. I mean if Last Shift gained popularity over the 9 short years and they gathered enough money to make a substantially better looking movie and release it in theaters, then maybe. But it looks the same from the trailer I watched. Maybe a different studio saw it and thought it was good enough to rebrand and release in theaters to try and make money since most people probably never saw Last Shift and horror movies are on the upswing, and don't cost a lot to make? Whatever the reason, it's intriguing."
