"Excellent fly-on-wall doc about the recording of Isbell’s Reunions album. The highlights for me were the song reveals, where Isbell would play a roughed out acoustic version of a song to the band for the 1st time and they’d immediately start building their parts off of a single listen. A lot of the run-time is devoted to the sometimes contentious relationship between Isbell and Amanda Shires (his wife and musical collaborator). 4 out of 5 stars."
