"I found it hard to be sympathetic with the multimilionaire athlete. Most hockey players have a career ending injury way before 38. Like Carey Price who could never really heal from Kreider plunging his skates into his knee during the same 2014 playoff run. I saw a man who was on top of the world for most of his life. For whom sports was the perfect temporary emotional outlet for the emotional baggage we all have. And who isn't really honest with himself. Now he is no longer king and the real journey starts. We haven't seen him. The real him. The whole movie felt like an instagram post. Here is the whole narrative of the movie : life is hard when you get sick but all your worries will go away when your jersey is retiered in the world's most famous arena... Watch this if you are a NYR fan or hockey fan in general it's interesting enough if you know the guy. But if you don't want to see a New Yorker full of himself driving to his multililion dollars house upstate to recenter...don't watch this."
