"I had this science fiction movie on my playlist for a long time. I am so glad I finally watched it. While it's true the plot is slow moving, the movie is definitely worth watching. Rock Hudson is fantastic as a quiet, determined, and obsessive scientist who wants to effect changes on the human condition. He wants to find a way to grow a human fetus outside of the womb, with only synthetic mothering. The side effects are alarming, but not immediate, and eventually become absolutely unthinkable. The acting from the entire is good, but understated. The movie tells a lesson about just how far man is willing to go when it comes to experimentation, and what happens when that meets his most deepest desire. Warning: ⚠️ Brief female nudity."
