"This is a fantastic movie. The Laapataa Ladies movie starts out a little slow, but picks up in the last half of the movie. The first scene starts what becomes the entire plot: Two men are taking their brides to their respective villages by train. They accidentally switch brides and the story starts from there. Each of the two women has to decide what their fate will be. Do they want to return to their husbands and start a life in his village? Or do they want to use this time to see if they have another destiny? Each of the women uses their time living in the wrong village and getting to know themselves better, and what they truly want from life. Meanwhile, the families homes in which each stays are changed by their presence for the better. You have to watch the movie to see what each of the brides decides to do with her life. This was an amazing emotional journey, with a few contemplative songs. The acting was good, with a few comical moments. Hindi audio."
"A man’s marriage takes a rocky start as he travels with his wife from her home town to his on a train, picking a woman he believed was his wife as there were many with the same dress!! Worth watching as the woman he took from the train and the wife he left begin their journeys with a new family and those around them to help them on their way to the destinations they seek in life while learning about themselves!!"
"The brides get switched out and it is thought to be a terrible thing but throughout them being "lost" they got to learn more about themselves and we get to see them grow as people! It had a nice message about independence as a woman in India with a nice mix of romance. There was a nice cast of side characters that really added to the environment and made the movie feel a bit more full. I really liked the interactions the ladies had with the new people that they met and I only wish we got to see more of those moments fleshed out as they were the best part. Also Phool and Deepak were soo cute together."
