"Another classic and fave. This movie came out in 1975, let’s start there. The plot and dialogue are very much products of the times (the ‘60s and ‘70s) so those wanting a “drop back” will get their wish. And of course the filmography and soundtrack (dead on for their time) are not as compelling as we’re experiencing now. I mention these things because I like the movie so much and wish it could auto-adjust to today, like updates to my IPhone. But no, it can’t. It’s a snippet in time, mid-‘70s. So, watch it with that in mind. Enjoy the plot and characters. Take particular notice of two master actors: John Houseman, the CIA chief, and Max von Sydow, the international hit man. Both play supporting roles in the film. The work of master craftsmen like them, in support of the script and other characters, are what make movies classics. Great work, just right."
