"this has to be one of my top favorite films in the franchise. kiryu isn't like the other reincarnations of mechagodzilla: it is sentient, experiencing emotions like we do. yet it is still forced to fight. to me, this movie has a different tone than a majority of the other films. it raises questions that involve heavy topics, such as the value of life and how we treat it. if you are a monster fan who enjoys fiction with deep messages, the kind that keep you awake at night, this is a must-see!"
