"Great doc. Sean Penn as narrator, very good! Very well made, lots of weird interludes you wouldn’t expect from an edgy skate documentary. Note to super fans: the original shop where this all started is called Horizons West in Santa Cruz and still open. The owner is a dick. If you go there don’t mention the film. He did show me the room where they used to shape boards but did it very begrudgingly while trying to shatter my excitement. "
