"Barbie went back to original storylines, and it doesn't get any more original than this. Out of all the over 40 Barbie movies, this one is the most unique plot. It's unlike anything I've seen, and I appreciate that. I love the songs and downloaded most of them. The puppies are fun, and Melody is great. Even the villain was intimidating yet still watchable. It's not perfect, though, and is weak storywise. However, originality in today's world is rare, and I salute this movie for it.
It is not my favorite movie. Heck, it's not even in my top 10 favorite Barbie movies. However, there is absolutely zero doubt in my mind it is one of the most unique movies out there. Truly, it has uniqueness pouring out of it in waves. The only thing it has that is similar to other movies is the buddy movie idea, which they put their own loving spin on. And barbies original habit of starting the movie by having Barbie tell the story to another. But even that is distinct compared to the originals. I never noticed until I did, but it is beyond one of a kind. It truly has a story that just is its own thing, and nothing quite comes close to matching that. It's not always a good thing, though. But without a shadow of a doubt, it is beyond unique."
