"God, this trilogy is so cleverly written. The dialogue throughout this film is full of call backs to the previous two movies and it’s a subtle way of showing how Celine and Jessie’s respective outlooks on life have changed over time. This movie is a bit more intense than the other two. It’s depressing, but it felt more real. The first film was a fantasy. The second felt like a mix between real life and a daydream. This felt like the reality of being with the love of your life. It can be exhilarating and fun, but then frustrating and exhausting. We finally see more of the negatives in both Celine and Jessie which makes them over coming their differences feel even more miraculous. It’s still romantic, but just in a more realistic way than the previous two films."
"Watch the first two of the trilogy first for a completely wonderful package. "
