In a boorish future, the government sponsors a popular, but bloody, cross-country race in which points are scored by mowing down pedestrians. Five teams, each comprised of a male and female, compete using cars equipped with deadly weapons. Frankenstein, the mysterious returning champion, has become America's hero, but this time he has a passenger from the underground resistance.

"This is a crazy and unreal 1970's era movie.😁 I didn't know that Sylvester Stallone and David Carradine started in a movie together. (Fred Grandy, Gopher of 'The Love Boat' Fame, has a brief role as the navigator of a Fake Nazi Racing Team.) If this is truly the movie that gave birth to the Death Race franchise, the first being with deadpan Jason Statham, then the producers forgot to add ridiculous comedy to the storylines. But THIS movie has a long-distance race AND a rating system of points for human roadway kills! Oh, my! 🧐 Warning: ⚠️ Brief scenes of female nudity."
