"This movie declares itself "a heterosexual Film by Gregg Araki" but I guess nobody told the movie that because it is very gay. This was definitely a staple of 90s video stores. I remember seeing it around a lot in my youth and as a fan of angst 90s movies about alienation I always wanted to watch it.
The intense scenes in this really sneak up on you too. Like, most of this movie is just a chill road trip movie with the occasional comically over-the-top murder then the last like 10 minutes turns into a particularly intense thriller seamlessly leaving my eyes wide in horror."
"GOD do I love this movie. All of Gregg Araki's films are amazing but this one is definitely one of my favorites. It explores so many topics as the movie gets more and more absurd as it goes on. The end is also deeply, DEEPLY saddening and very upsetting, but after getting to know the characters the entire movie it really shoves the point into your head and I think a lot of people need that point. Especially during the time it was made, this movie really says so much. "
