"To be honest, as a Biggie fan, I really was disappointed in this movie and I do not like it. If you want a good movie that accurately depicts the all time great, watch the documentary on Netflix. The positives of this movie are very few but make it watchable. One, some of the acting was very good, especially from Angela Basset and Natori Naughton. I can't say the same about Captain America (Tupac). Two, Biggie himself wasn't too bad, just given garbage dialogue. It was also nice seeing the freestyle scene where Biggie first got notoriety. The writing in this movie is garbage tho and I ended very abruptly. This is one of those biopics where they took to many liberties with the story. "
"There is not much to celebrate besides the acting. It's really difficult to capture a person's entire life in one movie. It's best to make a film about one significant point in their life or create a series.
The pacing can make or break a biopic and this one is broken. It went through so much, so fast.
I still enjoy it though."
