"I am rating this low budget movie 3 stars ⭐ because of the story the director was able to tell with minimal props, makeup, and location. The simple story is one of hope: Rutger Hauer plays the role of a robot soldier 🪖 who was damaged in war. He now believes that he can bring peace, ending a civil war between robots, droids, and perhaps find a human civilization in the chaos. This movie is certainly not great, but, I think it would have been much more eye-catching with the type of top-notch CGI that I am used to seeing in great sci-fi movies. There is a small cast and a very simple story. Just like with many of Rutger Hauer movies, there are comical moments and quirky plot twists. It is a silly movie that tries to be poetic, but doesn't take itself too seriously. Enjoy it for what it is, and don't judge it too harshly."
"The movie feels like it would hold up to Terminator or other futuristic films with robots as if there was a time after an apocalyptic battle happened and only a few were still remaining. Would recommend it if you're into sci-fi kind of films. "
