"This particular film had been on my watchlist for an extremely long time, and it did not disappoint at all. Even though the script makes it clear that it is based on the classic William Shakespeare play JULIUS CAESAR, this was an extremely well made adaptation that has cinematic flourishes thanks to the combination of both the set design as well as the direction by Joseph L Mankiewicz. Phenomenal acting across the board as well as production values and score. The entire acting ensemble cast here is extraordinary, with standouts including Marlon Brando as Mark Antony (whose monologue speeches are captivating to watch); Sir John Gielgud as Cassius (whose reputation as a consummate Shakespearean actor is extremely evident here with his line deliveries that never feels rehearsed); James Mason as Brutus and many more. This ranks very highly among best Shakespeare film adaptations that I have ever seen, and one that is very highly worth watching."
