After the previous Godzilla attack, a miniature arms race ensues to collect his cells. Concerned over Godzilla's possible return, the Japanese government uses the cells to create a new bio-weapon, ANEB (Anti-Nuclear Energy Bacteria). They seeks the aid of geneticist Genshiro Shiragami, who's experiments result in a new mutation.

"It was everything you'd expect from a movie in the 80s. It was dramatic, corny, and over the top. It had a funky flow, but loveable characters, fun effects and a *classic* feel. I wouldn't call it a good movie, but I'd call it an enjoyable movie "

"My favorite Godzilla movie. Biollante is an interesting concept for a Kaiju, and the scenes with both her and Godzilla are amazing! The story can be a bit tedious, but still an all around great movie! 8/10"

"Interesting concept. The idea behind the genetic splicing and genetic modification as a potential weapon was intriguing.
The characters were fun, especially the couple, and Miki Segusa, and although I enjoyed the fact that she was psychic, it was a bit out of left field.
Lots of comedic scenes, without detracting from the action. I’m excited to see how this era continues moving forward. "
