"This is a feel-good, happy-ending type comedy with a lot of Legends in the mix!!! A little slapstick at times... but with Ms. Halle Berry running the show, it's all laughs! I really enjoy rewatching this now, years later, and seeing such an honest interpretation of the 90s hip hop culture! For one second in time, it was a visual, tangible, in your face CELEBRATION!!! Also, when mans in the record store start spouting off rappers and lyrics and gossip?!?! Took me BACK! πππΆπ΅πΆπΆ"
"Through hilarious means and with a lot of heart, this film makes a statement on culture and about humanity. I will always love this film! And yes, rest in peace and love to Natalie Desselle Reid (who played Halle's bestie) who passed away Dec. 7th of this year. You made an impact and you'll always be remembered. Sympathies to all of her family and friends. "
