"I don't know how I missed watching this movie for so long. Even though the movie is narrated by the sister's character and Kevin Costner has a supporting role as the father, the true story is about Elijah Wood's character and "The War" that he and his friends are in against other neighboring kids in the south. I have a new found respect for Elijah Wood as an actor, he has a fairly large role in this movie at such a young age, and does a stellar job with it. A little slow in parts but it draws you in. I enjoyed it. 7.5/10"
