Unfortunately, the emotional and physical conditions of facilities in this time period were known for their terrible quality. Science was still a growing field, and questionable "cures" were tested on the patients. This was portrayed well in this film. (For some reason, I have seen this movie listed on the Roku Channel as "Eliza Graves." It must be an error. 😬)"
