"Recently watched Soderbergh’s Solaris (2002) for the first time and was really impressed by it. Despite being an hour shorter than Tarkovsky’s 1972 film, I felt the 2002 version still told a complete and compelling story with similar eeriness and existential horror. I appreciate both, but I personally prefer Soderbergh’s contemporary rendition. Regardless, I love sci-fi movies that explore and challenge the human condition and the story of Solaris does just that. Highly recommend both films!"
