"2/10 I’m sure this was amazing in its time and it tried to be very hard-boiled, but this really just feels like an extremely stale Baby Driver. The characters had no development and there was no real energy at any point. The car chases were innovative in their time but there’s no dialogue or even music to make you feel anything. Too raw and too repetitive."
"This was a solid watch. It holds up really well, especially the car chases. The final one is fantastic. Some of the dialogue is a little off, like it’s supposed to be this grand epiphany being communicated, but just…isn’t. This is especially true of Bruce Dern’s character, although you could definitely Stevie that’s it’s totally just the way his character talks, because of his huge ego. Ryan O’Neil display terrific gravitas as the title character. I recommend. "
