Six friends on a road trip stop for the night at a bed and breakfast in the sleepy town of Lovelock. After a night that leaves both the inn's owner and chef dead, the gang finds themselves under suspicion by the local sheriff. But that's only the beginning as nearly all of the town's quirky residents become possessed by an evil spirit and pin down the friends inside the B&B.

"Shocktober 2024:
A 2000s horror comedy that throws everything to the wall to see what sticks. Musical numbers, Zombies, curses, Jeremy Sisto, slapstick, murder. There are a few horror comedies around this era that have this very frenetic, trying to do everything at once feel. Dead & Breakfast, however, manages to be irreverent and tongue in cheek enough to pull it all off and be one of the better horror comedies of the era. It's definitely the type of thing that you see on like On Demand video at midnight and decide to watch on a whim but I kinda miss that vibe. Plus, I'm a sucker for a musical."
