"This movie…damn. I was actually kinda intrigued by the premise, thinking this could be a creative view of the search for a lost horror film (in my head, I pictured something like Scream or Blair Witch Project but closer to Sinister) and just how creepy and disturbing things could get from there. But then the 40 minute mark hit and it blew me away! This movie might be the closest we’ve ever gotten in cinema to splatterpunk/extreme horror—it genuinely feels like something out of the masters of the genre like Matt Shaw, Wrath James White, or even Edward Lee. The kills are brutal and inventive, the cinematography is tense, and the entire last third (including a FAKE credits sequence for the in-universe documentary before the actual end credits) left me completely speechless. This is up there with Terrifier as one of the most horrific, disturbing, and sadistic movies that I could actually sit down and watch again all the way through. Don’t call yourself a Gold Star horror fanboy/girl/etc. until you’ve seen this movie at least once. "
