"'Tis the season! I'm going to start with a concession: The Nativity Story could have been better, from a cinematic standpoint. My particular complaints would be with the cinematography, which is bland. The script, however, is loyal to the biblical story of the birth of the Christ. The writers added a lot of events and dialogue, but none of what it adds is contrary to the biblical accounts, or to the characterization of the major players. The acting is good. I recommend it."
