"Given that this is a British production, I was hoping that it would be darker and more cynical. Although it has a fantastic cast, the pacing, plot, and predictable ending all feel like standard Hollywood holiday fare. Everything here is recycled. The plot is what would happen if Tim Allen’s “The Santa Clause” were loosely remade in England, and had about fifty jokes about farting reindeer. Watch the other Jim Broadbent as Santa film instead."
