"After the slog that was 3.0, Hideki Anno is putting the Eva series to rest in a sense. A world without Eva…sad because we’ve been with many of the characters in different incarnations. Happy because Anno always wanted his fans to live life beyond mindless self indulgence. Awe-inspiring visuals (asuka going beast mode 🤯 ) , the final showdown between father and son (definitely one of my favorite fight scenes in all of media). This was seriously worth the wait. "
