"It's a Rob Zombie movie. Sometimes that's a good thing and sometimes that's a bad thing. Blood and gore? Check. Lots of profanity? Check. Nudity? Check. "White trash" stereotype characters? Check. In this case, it worked for me. The killers in the movie are cartoonish enough to soften the blow of the grime and gore. The ending is an attempt at an ambiguous ending, but it's not difficult to figure out how it would realistically end once the camera cuts. This isn't supposed to be realistic, though, so I'll allow it. Also, I've been a fan of Malcolm McDowell since he played Admiral Tolwyn in the Wing Commander games, so there's a built-in bias for me. "
