"Horrortober 2022 Day 28
I actually been wanting to see this for a while now.
I will forewarn you this review won’t be good or very in depth though. One reason is because there were so many times I kept opening my phone which I usually don’t do. I’m sorry but I just wasn’t entertained by this film. The Brood is a boring film and it’s not very engaging until the last 15 minutes. Famously dismissed on its initial release by legendary film critic Roger Ebert as exploitation and sleaze of the highest order. Ebert is a critic I highly respect when I was a kid I use to read all the film reviews from Siskel & Ebert. For some reason decades later it’s supposed to be looked at like some great divorce film. But as far a great I don’t agree. Watching a woman eat her placenta is just ******* gross. I honestly got nothing out of this film. Even if I payed more attention I feel the outcome would still be the same. I’m pretty sure I’m in the minority because people love to gas classic films with names attached."
