"Who decided this needed to be a good movie? It may be that my expectations were pretty low, but damn some of the music is actually good. The antogonists are sirens, and their songs are full of hypnotic harmonies, light metal shredding guitar work, and a ton of energy. The story itself is a somewhat basic battle of the bands, but it feels like it took a ton of inspiration from Scott Pilgrim VS The World and Ember McLain from Danny Phantom. It's still a family film, so don't expect great stakes or emotional throughlines, but it's a pretty fun one. If you just want to hear the music, I recommend Let's Have A Battle and Welcome To The Show. "
