The Band Wagon

"This musical comedy starring Fred Astaire, Cyd Charisse, and Oscar Levant is very entertaining. The plot is about a Broadway dancer named Tony Hunter, played by Fred Astaire. He is trying to make a comeback to the stage. He meets up with two friends that want to help him put his career back on track. Along the way, Tony Asta is at odds with a larger than life director and isn't sure about his co-star. Most of the film takes place behind the scenes at production. I enjoyed watching the comic aspects of the production, and seeing the final product. There are great dance numbers with great choreography and vibrant set designs. Be prepared for a great amount of singing. You really have to be in the mood for this musical."
