Greased Lightning

"I really enjoyed watching this film. There is a sweet innocence to the script, yet has raw aspects to it about life in the southern states for blacks in the 1940s to 1970s. Richard Pryor stars as Wendell Scott, the first NASCAR racing champion. Pryor must have played this role before he really got heavy into drugs, because it shows is real acting talent and not just his comedic prowess. The great cast includes Pam Grier, who played his wife, Cleavon Little, who plays his best friend and manager, and Beau Bridges, who plays the role of one of Wendell's racing crew. This is definitely a feel good movie I would watch again."
