She becomes the captain of the guards at Versailles under King Louis XVI and Marie Antonette. Her privileged, noble life comes under fire as she discovers the hard life of the poor people of France. She is caught up in the French Revolution, and must choose between her loyalty and love.

lady oscar covers the story of a girl named oscar francois de jarjayes (for the purpose of being a third female in her family, she was named to be a male) she becomes marie antoinette’s guard, blah blah blah, i won’t spoil it.
so, it covers the manga and the anime in a live action motion picture- wel, just in case you want to see those first
the plot doesn’t only cover oscar’s (romantic) life as a guard, but also the controversies of the french revolution- aka: marie’s spending habits of the absolute neglected and most famished city of paris, the necklace, fersen, ect. ect
anyway, it’s good overall, sooo underrated!"
