"In a lot of ways, this film reminds me of a stage play. Bela Lugosi plays the role of a non-speaking man, who seems to overplay his anger towards people. Charles Laughton enters the room as a larger than life playboy character, and the rest of the actors play various levels of terror. The film started out well, giving us a unbelievably fierce ⛈️ thunderstorm to get all of the characters together in the dark house. After awhile, we see other hidden characters come onstage to offer strange dialogue about a dark past. Even with all of that, I still liked this film for what it did offer: a good cast who played their roles well. "
"Recently found this. An instant favorite. Cinematography is amazing. Truly ahead of its time. Thankful this once considered lost film was found and restored. "
