"4.25/5*s
Better than the first movie and a clean prequel showing all the events that lead up to the original. It helped me understand one thing in particular about the first movie that had me questioning. The 1967 time frame was great and added to the overall ambience although I believe the first movie said the events took place in the '40s or '50s. Anyway, I find myself enjoying scary movies that depict a time in the past prior to the '90s to be my favorites. I highly recommend this movie."
"This was the first Mike Flanagan directed horror movie I saw and I fell head over heels in love with this movie. The first Ouija film is terrible and this prequel is spectacular. Flanagan did Doctor Sleep and Midnight Mass and has this ability to match supernatural horror with the horror of personal trauma in the most heartbreaking way possible. "
"I love that this wasn't a horror movie with a happy ending. They broke every single rule of the ouija board game there were bound to be consequences, ones that they couldn't come back from. The visuals were pretty creepy but I feel like something was missing that I can't quite put my finger on. I like the casting as well they did a good job, especially the creepy kid. "
