Alain Lefevre is a boxer paid by a Marseille mobster to take a dive. When he wins the fight he attempts to flee to America with the mobster's girlfriend Katrina. This plan fails and he seeks escape by joining the foreign legion. As part of the legion he tangles with abusive lieutenant Steinkampf and bonds with legionnaires Luther, Mackintosh and Rosetti.

"This storyline of this action film is simple, yet engaging. Jean-Claude plays the role of a Frenchman named Alain who has a great boxing career and possibly a future with the woman he loves. However, he is falsely accused of murder, and is chased by a local mob. Alain joins the French Foreign Legion as a means to escape. The cast is made up of good and diverse actors, and some surprisingly good battlefield action. "
