Amidst the thaw of glasnost, the Kremlin discovers that two Soviet agents, sent to England under deep cover in 1965, have been “lost.” A beautiful and ambitious Russian agent, sent to London to track them down, becomes embroiled in a tangle of CIA, KGB and MI-5 plots and counterplots as the two lost agents, now utterly assimilated, try to avoid detection.

"this is one of those miniseries that makes my inner socialist look at me in disbelief. how could i love anything that has such a rosy view of capitalism? how could i like characters who undermine unions? and aggressive stock traders of the gene mulvihill/robert brennan variety? it demands, like a spouse trying to understand the betrayal of an affair.
but i can't help it. it's cheesy and adorable and FUNNY and the russian/american accents are awful and the soundtrack could easily have filled in for an 1980s telenovela. my nostalgia is ironclad. very good-omens-without-the-supernatural-elements. love it."
