Something bizarre has come over the land. The kingdom is deteriorating. People are beginning to act strange... What's even more strange is that people are beginning to see dragons, which shouldn't enter the world of humans. Due to all these bizarre events, Ged, a wandering wizard, is investigating the cause. During his journey, he meets Prince Arren, a young distraught teenage boy. While Arren may look like a shy young teen, he has a severe dark side, which grants him strength, hatred, ruthlessness and has no mercy, especially when it comes to protecting Teru. For the witch Kumo this is a perfect opportunity. She can use the boy's "fears" against the very one who would help him, Ged.

"This movie was sooo good! I’ve only done the first book but I wasn’t interested enough to continue the series, but after watching this movie my interest has peaked again! The movie was beautiful, I absolutely loved it. I liked the unique perspective of life and death, and what it really means to live. It was well done and told in such a beautiful, meaningful way."
"Animation was great as always, but the plot felt...Kinda everywhere? It was really confusing if I recall correctly (take this with a grain of salt, because its been two years since I've seen it) One moment you think they're going with Plot A- and then suddenly there's a whole new issue that wasn't mentioned before becoming the new challenge the protagonist has to overcome. Overall a 4.5/10"
"This is a VERY slow movie, the first act really takes a while to get started. But when it does it's a much more rewarding watch, it is Ghibli after all. There are few elements that aren't explained or elaborated on further, mostly stemming from the fact that this is an adaptation that's trying to squeeze an entire series of books in to a few hours of film rather than just adapting one of stories."
